Growing Our Reserves

Peter Standing, 1947-2019

Peter Standing examines one of the Coldwell Parrock erratics

It is with very great sadness that we report the death of Peter Standing on Saturday 16th November, 2019. Peter was well-known to Trust members for his outstanding work running an extensive and ever more successful programme of events for the Trust until he was forced to give up this role in November 2018 by his advancing illness.

Even after stepping down from any official involvement in Trust events, Peter remained an enthusiastic and unstinting supporter of the Trust and its activities right up until the very end, supplying us not only with ideas and financial support but continuing to give generously of what little energy he still had. He will be sorely missed.

The Trust would like to extend our sincere condolences to Peter’s family.

A full obituary for Peter will appear in a future edition of Keer to Kent.
